We are actively recruiting motivated researchers to join GeoIntelligence at UMass Amherst. If you are excited about pushing the boundaries of computational geotechnics with AI, we’d love to hear from you. Please see our research page for more about our research.

PhD Positions

We welcome PhD applicants who want to work at the intersection of computational geotechnics and AI/ML. Background in numerical methods, differentiable programming (PyTorch, JAX, or similar), or high-performance computing is a plus. An MS in civil engineering or a related field (completed or expected) is preferred.
